This is the first iteration of a new series of informal gatherings focussed on multi-channel works and spatial sound. We’ll be listening to some past CT::SWaM works over an 8-channel system and discuss ideas for moving forward:: ▶︎

This could become a regular platform for exchanging ideas, for listening to contemporary and historical pieces, hosting presentations, demos, talks and workshops, and for developing an ongoing discourse around spatial sound.

The basement at Fridman is conceived as a media space, and will allow for regular sessions without much setup effort. And that’s as far as the idea goes, so far. This first session is thought as an opening, a sensing of interest, a call for participation, an act of vulnerability, rather than the launch of a finished product, ready for consumption.
